Any Seattle city guide, will always kick-off by referring to the nickname entitled to Seattle city- ‘the emerald city’. The emerald like greenery spawning in the surrounding area should corroborate the words of the Seattle city guide. Seattle, a coastal city (yes, it harbors a port too) of the United States, is located in the State of Washington and is also the largest city in the Pacific North-west region of the U.S. Geographically, Seattle city is located between ‘Puget Sound’ (an arm of the vast pacific ocean) and Lake Washington. The Canada-U.S border is around ninety-six miles away from Seattle city. Taking a break from the altitudes and longitudes of Seattle city, it would be better if the Seattle city guide hits on a venture around the city. Firstly, the ‘Space Needle’ should undoubtedly top the Seattle city guide into being the most recognizable landmark in the city. The logo of the T.V series ‘Frasier’ or the backgrounds of a T.V series ‘Grey’s anatomy’ and another named ‘Icarly’ should help one in envisaging ‘the space needle’, or perhaps sweet memories of the movie ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ should help more. Seattle center, surrounding the ‘Space needle’ is a host venue to several civic events along with few cultural extravaganzas like ‘folklife’ and ‘bite of the Seattle’. Few of the other important landmarks of the city which ought to be mentioned in the Seattle city guide are: The Columbia center, which stands tall with 76 storeys to be the tallest building in the North in the Pacific Northwest, the ‘Washington Manual tower’, which is Seattle’s second tallest skyscraper, the Fremont Troll, the Seattle Central Library, the experience music project, the Pike Place Market and the Starbucks Center (the largest building by volume). Seattle city guide can’t just be complete by listing few skyscrapers of the city. Seattle city, also called the ‘Rainy city’ has much more to offer. The ambience around the countryside of Seattle city, where greenery abodes in all forms possible, is much more beautiful than the description provided by any Seattle city guide! A glance to the volcanic (yet a marvelous treat to eyes) Cascade Range in the east during early mornings should be an ideal start to any day. The picturesque views that the city offers is something a Seattle city guide can’t miss on. Queen Anne hill, the downtown Seattle skyline, the Elliot bay and the Lake Union views from the Space needle can be rightly called (by this Seattle city guide at least) a picture perfect scenery. The beauty of the Seattle waterfront across the Eliot bay, viewed from the Alki point, compels any Seattle city guide to mention its name in it. Lake Union, typically famous for the umpteen houseboats around has seaplanes, ships spread through along with sail boats and all the amazing utilities of water sports for enthusiasts.
The climate of Seattle is mild and wet in winters and is quite dry in summers. It rains for around 225 days in a year in Seattle. The population here ranks 23rd in U.S and is increasing every year, thanks to the opportunities and jobs available in the city that entices people. A line from the title song of a T.V series which goes like “The greenest green you ever seen, in Seattle’, probably sums up the entirety of a Seattle city guide.

Anyone have video of Kenny Mayne (ESPN) when he was in Seattle on KSTW (local sports) in the 80's?????????????
I've searched all over but can only find that he was there from 82-89 than got signed on with ESPN in 94... anyone have any video clips or actually recorded shows when he was there before ESPN??????
You could contact them and ask for a tape, if they still have footage dating back that far in the library.
For some reason, they have an official MySpace page. You could ask them on there
There are some really great paintball marker packages available these days. These really should be called starter packages, because they are best meant for newbies. There is certain required gear to play at any paintball field, and the fields make a lot of money from all of the various pieces of equipment that players are required to have that they wind up renting for the day.
Once you have decided that you love paintball and that you are going to play with some regularity, a paintball marker package is the thing to get. The usual paintball marker packages that I've seen include the marker, a squeegee for cleaning, a barrel plug, a basic hopper and a CO2 tank. Along with that you get a mask and some pods. Some packages I've seen even include a harness. They will come with an Allen wrench set, some spare O-rings as well as lubricant for the gun, but most guns I've seen come with this normally.
This is quite a lot of stuff, and the package price you can get it for is really good. If you added up the cost of each item separately, it would be way more than you pay for the package. And you'll need all this stuff anyway.
At a paintball field, you are going to have to rent all of this stuff separately, and they will charge you a nice chunk. The mask, for instance, is a separate charge.
As paintball marker packages are geared towards beginners, they generally involve a beginner level marker. You commonly see the Spyder sold in a package, as well as the Tippmann 98. Personally I would recommend the Tippmann, as they are known for having the most upgrades. As you progress, you will want to upgrade your gun, and a Tippmann 98 is the perfect inexpensive marker to upgrade and customize. You can customize this gun so much that you can make it better than many expensive markers. And it's fun to upgrade your marker. You can't go wrong with a Tippmann 98, and the package price is very cheap.
So to summarize, if you are new to paintball and you're ready to get your own marker, I recommend highly the Tippmann 98 marker package.

I really want one cuz I don't want to pay to play online.
Also I have an old Xbox (original) with like 30 games. Should I throw that in there or would it not be worth it? thanks!

1. Opening Statements
Opening statements should be concise and to the point. Introduce yourself and any other members of your management team who are present. If possible, have one of your creditable investors speak for a couple of minutes on their personal insight as to why they invested. It should not be an investor who is a close relative or is part of the management team.
Get excited and have passion about your opportunity. Create a buzz about your deal, so that investors will spread the word about your company to other investors.
Comment: Give a concise and professional overview that gives investors attending some insight as to your organizational skills. The tone you set for the presentation is critical. Be professional, but find some areas where you can add some humor without being a comedian.
"First impressions are very important."
2. Mission Statement
In one or two sentences, state the mission of your business.
3. Market Opportunity

Sample of Opening & Mission Statements
Good afternoon, my name is Tom Jones. I am the founder and President of XYZ Corporation. Assisting me today is our CFO, Richard Smith.
Accelerated use of latex gloves and latex covers for medical devices to protect against infectious diseases over the past two decades has resulted in as many as 17 percent of healthcare workers affected by latex allergies. A greater risk is with the general population that is not aware of the allergy until they come in contact with latex during a medical procedure. XYZ has identified the cause for the allergy and has determined a process for making latex virtually non-allergenic.
We have a contract to distribute our process to 72 countries and are raising $500,000 to fulfill the contract.
4. Description of the Product or Service
4. Describe what product or service your company sells. Keep it simple. Don't bring up technical or confusing information. Details are usually brought up in later meetings. It is important to be specific on the product or service's unique value to customers and why your company is different from the competition. It is imperative that you show how your company will attract customers who will purchase what you are selling.
5. Marketing Strategy
Many companies who have had good products and services did not become successful. One reason is to clearly identify your company's marketing strategy.
Talk about the value of your strategic alliances and partnerships. Investors look for aggressive marketing as a key component to success. Therefore, choosing a marketing method is critical to achieving your success. Will you be marketing directly or use strategic partnerships and alliances? This is vital, since the cost to market directly can be very costly. Using strategic partners, alliances, or resellers could be a much more valuable marketing and sales strategy.
"Create a buzz about your deal by being articulate, passionate, and with complete understanding of your opportunity."
6. Your Management Team
Describe each key person who is important to making the company successful. Most investors recognize that having a management team of friends and relatives is usually not a good idea and could be a critical mistake to the company in many ways.
Assemble the best talent you can find, with strong managerial skills, and explain to the investors why this management team, under your guidance, can lead the company to success.
If your management team is not in place, it is vital that you at least identify key personnel who will join your business at some future event or date, (such as after funding has been obtained).
"Investors are attracted to people who have been successful
in other businesses."
7. Capital Needs
It is very important to outline the need for funding and why your company should be considered for an investment.
Understanding the importance that each investor is very interested in how you are going to spend their money. Demonstrate exactly how your company will prudently spend the money.
Be sure to have an easy to understand, detailed month-by-month written use of funds that backs up what you say in your presentation. In a summary format, reveal the use of funds and projected salaries. Investors look favorably on first year salaries of $40K - $60K tied in with some performance clause. Investors usually don't want to pay for high salaries.
8. Closing Statements
Be sure to say 'Thank you' to the investors for their time and invite them to an demonstration, a visit to your facility, or to an additional meeting with more in-depth information.
The gold is in the follow-up. Keep investors informed about your progress in an investor relations campaign. Ask if there are certain areas they would like you to address. When possible, get their feedback on what they liked and any concerns they may have.
"Practice until you can deliver the presentation by memory."
